Digital Products and Subscription Services
Digital Downloads
Due to the nature of digital products (such as e-books, online courses, or downloadable garden plans), we generally do not offer refunds once the digital content has been downloaded or accessed. However, if you experience technical issues or the product significantly fails to meet the description provided, please contact us within 14 days of purchase, and we will work to resolve your issue, which may include providing a refund at our discretion.
Subscription Services
For subscription-based services (such as our premium gardening content membership):
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting customer service
- Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to the subscription services until the end of your current billing period
- No partial refunds will be issued for unused portions of the current billing period
- If you cancel within 14 days of your initial subscription purchase, you may request a full refund
- Refund requests after the first 14 days will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis
Physical Products
Return Eligibility
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We also accept returns of used/opened items within 14 days if the item is defective, damaged, or significantly different from what was described on our website.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- Returned in the original packaging, when possible
- In the same condition that you received it (except in cases of defective or damaged items)
- Accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase
Non-Returnable Items
The following items cannot be returned:
- Live plants, unless they arrive damaged or dead (see Plant Guarantee section)
- Seeds, once the package has been opened
- Perishable goods such as cut flowers
- Gift cards
- Downloadable software products
- Items marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable"
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery
Plant Guarantee
We stand behind the quality of our plants with our 30-day guarantee:
- If your plant arrives damaged or dies within 30 days of receipt, contact us with photos of the plant
- Subject to verification, we will offer a replacement plant (when available) or store credit/refund
- Our guarantee covers plants that fail despite proper care as described in our care instructions
- The guarantee does not cover plants that die due to neglect, improper care, or extreme weather events
Return Process
How to Initiate a Return
To start the return process:

- Provide your order number, the items you wish to return, and the reason for the return
- Our team will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions
- Pack the item(s) securely with all included accessories and documentation
- Include the RMA number on the outside of the package
- Ship the item(s) to the address provided in the return instructions
Return Shipping
You are responsible for the cost of returning the product unless:
- The item received was defective, damaged, or incorrect
- The return is the result of our error
In cases where the return is due to our error, we will provide a prepaid shipping label or arrange for pickup. For all other returns, we recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
Processing Time
Once we receive your returned item, we will inspect it and notify you of the status of your refund. If your return is approved, we will initiate a refund to your original method of payment. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account depends on your payment provider's processing time but typically takes 5-10 business days.
Cancellations
Order Cancellations
You may request to cancel an order by contacting our customer service team:
- Orders that have not yet been processed or shipped may be canceled for a full refund
- Orders that have already been shipped cannot be canceled and must follow our return process
Event and Workshop Cancellations
For Garden Haven workshops, classes, and events:
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the event date will receive a full refund
- Cancellations made 3-7 days before the event will receive a 50% refund or full store credit
- Cancellations made less than 3 days before the event are not eligible for a refund but may receive store credit at our discretion
- If you cannot attend an event, you may transfer your registration to another person at no additional cost
- In the event that Garden Haven cancels a workshop or event, you will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule
Consultation Service Cancellations
For garden consultation services:
- Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled consultation will receive a full refund
- Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled consultation will be charged a 25% cancellation fee
- You may reschedule a consultation once without penalty if done at least 24 hours in advance
Refund Methods
Standard Refunds
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase:
- Credit/debit card refunds typically take 5-10 business days to process
- PayPal refunds typically appear in your PayPal account immediately
- Bank transfers may take up to 14 business days to reflect in your account
Alternative Refund Methods
In certain circumstances, we may offer:
- Store credit, which can be used on future purchases
- Replacement products instead of a monetary refund
- Partial refunds for items with minor issues or incomplete returns
Exchanges
We are happy to exchange items for a different size, color, or model, subject to availability. To request an exchange:

- Specify that you want an exchange and provide details of the item you would like instead
- If the exchange item has a higher price than the original, you will need to pay the difference
